Frequently asked questions about data exchange with FTAPI
FTAPI complements Microsoft 365 wherever sensitive data leaves your organisation. External recipients open deliveries without an account or a certificate. Content can be end-to-end encrypted, so that neither the provider nor your admins can read it. And everything is operated in Germany by a provider that is not subject to the US CLOUD Act. Meanwhile, your team keeps working in Outlook, SharePoint and Explorer.
Just a browser. No installation or licence is required to receive deliveries or make submissions. Guest users are included in all packages.
FTAPI runs as a cloud service in Germany. Users sign in via your identity provider using single sign-on (SAML 2.0), and you distribute the Outlook add-in through your usual channels. FTAPI takes care of operation and updates.
By default, the attachment. At the highest security level, the message body is also end-to-end encrypted. From Outlook, you send via the add-in; from any other email client, via the web interface. With Intelligent Encryption, encryption takes place at the gateway, regardless of the email client.
With end-to-end encryption, only the sender and authorised recipients. Neither FTAPI nor your admins can decrypt this content.
