Successful deals don't just happen, they’re built by great teams and the leaders who back them with real passion. At FTAPI, that’s Angi and Chris. As our SDR Leads, they run two of our most active sales teams and are the first mentors for anyone looking to make an impact in sales.
In this edition of the FTAPI Diaries, they talk about their approach to leadership and how they support their teamies on their way to success.
How did you find your way to FTAPI?
Chris:
FTAPI reached out to me on LinkedIn. My start here was awesome: I was welcomed by great people who all have this sporty, competitive mindset. It was a perfect match from day one.
Angi:
I first became aware of FTAPI through LinkedIn. What ultimately convinced me were the interviews: with every conversation, my confidence grew because I was genuinely impressed by the people behind the company. My first impression was proven right from the very beginning.
That positive first impression from the recruitment process was fully confirmed. I received an incredibly warm welcome. The atmosphere here is very close-knit, shaped by ambitious colleagues who are always ready to offer support and advice. It was a start where I felt like a valued part of the team immediately.
You’re both Team Leads: why did you choose this path, and what does it mean to you personally?
Chris:
I chose this path because I find it incredibly rewarding to develop young talent and pass on essential values. For me, the greatest achievement and the ultimate validation is seeing my teamies successfully transition into AE roles or other positions within the Go-to-Market area.
Angi:
Sales is my passion, but people are my drive. With over 15 years of experience, I now combine deep market expertise with a growth-oriented leadership culture. My focus is on sustainable success. As a Lead, I put my energy where it makes the biggest difference: the personal development of my teamies, helping us all reach the next level together.
How would you define your team?
Chris: Sales is a team sport.
Angi: Ambitious, team-oriented and driven.
What career opportunities can an SDR expect if they really go all in?
Chris:
It’s extremely important to us that you develop personally, grow in your career, and, of course, earn well. If you really go all in, you can not only move quickly through the different SDR levels but also qualify for promotions into other departments.
Angi:
I couldn't agree more with Chris! :) For those who take ownership, bring a strong growth mindset, and proactively go all in, all doors are open, whether within the SDR role or for future career steps. I’m convinced that development takes time and experience, and I make sure my teamies have that space. Our philosophy is all about doubling down on strengths. 🚀
What does growth look like for your team?
Angi:
For me, growth is about more than just a new title on a business card. It’s the sustainable development of an individual skill set. As a Lead, that means identifying potential that my teamies might not even see in themselves yet, and sharpening it through dedicated coaching and clear milestones. My goal is for every individual to not only work successfully but to truly exceed their own expectations – it makes me proud to play a key role in this crucial phase of their growth.
With big goals ahead, why is now the perfect moment to join FTAPI?
Chris:
