Cryptshare protects files and emails during transmission through HTTPS/TLS and encrypts them server-side when uploading. The data is then stored on the chosen Cryptshare server – depending on setup, for example, in a DMZ, on-premises or in an external cloud. The security level therefore depends heavily on the respective infrastructure, configuration and access permissions of the system being operated.
Cryptshare can be used in a GDPR-compliant way. However, a crucial factor is where the solution is hosted and which technical and organisational measures are implemented within the company. Responsibility for GDPR-compliant hosting lies with the operator themselves.
Cryptshare encrypts files and messages during upload and download via a secure HTTPS/TLS connection. The transferred content is then stored on the Cryptshare server with AES encryption.
