From now on, deleted files in FTAPI SecuRooms virtual data rooms no longer disappear into the void — instead, they are safely stored in the new recycle bin.

Accidentally removed documents can be restored with just a few clicks — before any data is permanently lost. This provides added security and greater control over your data rooms, especially when handling sensitive or business-critical information.

FTAPI’s secure, encrypted email communication meets the requirements for digital accessibility. FTAPI SecuMails has been externally tested and fulfils 92 per cent of the criteria according to WCAG 2.1. You can find our accessibility statement here.

This means the solution not only ensures the highest standards of data protection and security, but is also usable by people with visual, motor or cognitive impairments — enabling equal participation in the digital world.

Collaboration on PDF documents is now possible with FTAPI SecuRooms, our virtual data rooms. Thanks to the new PDF annotations feature, users can add comments and highlights directly within the file preview in their browser. The annotated document can then be saved as a new version within the data room. All users with access can view the changes in the file preview and respond accordingly.

With FTAPI’s virtual data rooms, you can now implement security and compliance requirements for file sharing even more easily. That’s because file classification is now available! Before sharing, you can assign a classification (e.g. “Public”, “Internal”, “Confidential” or “Secret”). This way, recipients immediately know how to handle the shared files. Overall, this ensures even clearer processes and more sovereignty in data protection.

With the new versioning functionality for the virtual data rooms – SecuRooms – managing and tracking documents becomes even easier and more secure. When uploading a document, the current version can be saved and older versions can be stored. These versions are arranged chronologically so that you have a clear history of edits. This makes it possible to track at any time who worked on a document, what changes were made and when these changes occurred.

The new feature “MIME Type Checking” is now available for FTAPI’s premium virus scanner. Companies can now specify which file types are permitted system-wide, and files are subjected to additional verification before uploading to ensure that the file formats have not been tampered with and that only authorised files are uploaded to the cloud.
