FTAPI Diaries: Meet our FTAPI Account Executive
Who are the people behind FTAPI? What drives them, and what do they particularly enjoy about their work at FTAPI? Meet the team! We’re introducing you to the faces behind FTAPI and showcasing the individuals who contribute daily with passion and dedication to the success of our company.
Account Executives are the driving force behind every SaaS company. As "Closers," they are the vital link between our solutions and our customers' specific needs. One person who fills this role at FTAPI with true passion is Tanja. Since joining us, she has been strengthening our team with her extensive sales expertise.
In this edition of the FTAPI Diaries, Tanja talks about her journey to us, shares her best sales tips, and reveals why you should definitely become part of our team.
How did you join FTAPI?
I was specifically looking for a company that solves real, socially relevant problems and data security is more important today than ever. The recruitment process at FTAPI was incredibly respectful and, above all, fast.
My first few weeks were defined by intensive onboarding and a team that supported me with full speed from day one. You notice immediately that everyone here is pulling in the same direction.
What makes your job as an Account Executive so exciting?
For me, it’s all about stakeholder management. In complex deals, you’re often caught between different fronts. Everyone from IT and procurement to the C-level has their own priorities.
My job is to get everyone on the same page and create a common vision. That takes a lot of tact, and that's exactly what makes my day-to-day so varied.
Which aspects of our product are you most excited about?
Definitely our SecuFlows Advanced. It’s no longer just about pushing data from A to B, it’s about full automation.
We take highly sensitive workflows in sectors like public administration, healthcare, or industry and make them secure and efficient through automated encryption. The best part for the customer is that manual errors simply disappear. When patient records or technical drawings arrive exactly where they need to be, automatically and GDPR-compliant, it saves a lot of time and takes a huge weight off the company's shoulders regarding liability.
What are your tips for being a successful AE?
Listen instead of talking: If you don't understand the customer's actual pain points, you can't sell a solution
Resilience: A 'no' is often just a 'not yet.' Staying persistent really pays off
Authenticity: Customers notice immediately whether you truly stand behind your product
What has been your personal closing highlight so far and what milestones are you aiming for next with FTAPI?
My absolute highlight was a deal with an insurance company. They were facing the challenge that customer documents were arriving in a completely unstructured way. Now, everything runs securely, encrypted, and fully digital via FTAPI. The effect is massive. The processing saves a lot of time and the digital experience for the policyholders is simply worlds apart.
Next, I want to establish FTAPI as the clear standard for data security in critical sectors like industry and healthcare. We are showing that security 'Made in Germany' is the engine for digital transformation. And of course, I want to reach my own goals and our team milestones together! :)
Why should someone join the FTAPI sales team?
Because we truly live team selling here. We push each other and work with professional methods, but we still have the freedom to bring our own personality into the sales process. If you want to make a real impact in sectors like healthcare, industry, or the public sector, you are in the right place.
What is especially important to me is that we don't just work for ourselves. Of course, we are all competitive and want to convince as many customers as possible of our mission 'Protect what matters.' But sharing knowledge and learning together are always our priorities. If you want to grow, have a steep learning curve, and enjoy great team events, this is exactly where you belong.
What qualities should a new colleague have to be successful with us?
You should bring a healthy dose of curiosity and a real desire to take responsibility for your own pipeline. If you also have the drive to get things done and enjoy laughing with the team, you’ll fit right in. Generally speaking, we are looking for people who are hungry for success but never forget the human side of things.
