FTAPI Diaries: Meet our FTAPI working students
Who are the people behind FTAPI? What drives them, and what do they particularly enjoy about their work at FTAPI?
Meet the team! We’re introducing you to the faces behind FTAPI and showcasing the individuals who contribute daily with passion and dedication to the success of our company.

We’re especially excited to introduce four of our working students, who are an integral part of FTAPI and always lend our team a helping hand.
How long have you been with FTAPI, and what is your role?
Marc: I’ve been working as a working student in Sales Development since June 2023, helping the team acquire new clients for FTAPI.
Dennis: I joined FTAPI in September 2022 as a working student in Marketing, focusing on automation and website projects.
Hazem & Vivian: Vivian and I both started in September 2023 as working students in Revenue Operations. Hazem: My role revolves around administering our CRM tool, Salesforce. Vivian: I’m responsible for preparing customer data, researching companies and relevant contacts, and working closely with the Sales Team.
Why did you decide to join FTAPI?
Hazem: When I saw the job posting for a working student position in Salesforce administration at FTAPI, I knew I had to apply. Positions like this are rare, as they require a lot of responsibility and usually daily presence – you’re managing a system that the company relies on every day. Despite the challenge of managing this in just 20 hours a week, FTAPI made it possible for me.
Dennis: I had long wanted to learn more about marketing processes in a B2B company and understand how an agile organization operates. When I discovered the role at FTAPI and saw the opportunity to experience marketing in a scale-up in the B2B software industry firsthand, I knew I had to take it. Before committing, I wanted to check out the office dynamic and meet my future colleagues. The atmosphere in the office was so positive, and everyone was so approachable that I was 100% certain I wanted to join FTAPI.

What do you like most about your job at FTAPI?
Marc: As a working student at FTAPI, you’re given a lot of responsibility for your tasks. The exciting topics you work on allow you to learn a great deal and gain valuable practical experience.
Hazem: For me, it’s definitely the combination of a positive work atmosphere, strong team spirit, and interesting tasks.
Dennis: In marketing, there’s always something to do, both strategically and operationally. In my role, I particularly enjoy giving FTAPI’s content a face through the website, following ideas from brainstorming to publication, and seeing how they’re received by the target audience.
As a working student, you can already contribute fully and take on responsibility. You’re so well-connected within the company that you can also learn a lot from other departments. Everyone is helpful with questions, whether they’re work-related or personal.
Vivian: I don’t live in Munich, so I really appreciate having the option to work from home and still use the company apartment. This way, I can also work on-site with the team in the office from time to time. Despite remote work, I feel well-integrated into the FTAPI team, thanks to daily team meetings, a family-like atmosphere, and company events such as Oktoberfest, the Christmas party, or team outings. I also like that, as a working student, you have flexibility in organizing your work.

What are your tips for balancing studies, work at FTAPI, and free time?
Marc: I create a detailed schedule that includes everything (studying, events, sports, and work). This helps me stay organized and maintain a clear structure.
Hazem: I plan weekly rather than daily – it’s easier to keep track that way. But honestly, without discipline, time management can sometimes be a struggle, and I don’t always win that battle, haha.
Vivian: There’s no universal formula for balancing different aspects of life. The key is finding an individual solution that works for you. At the start of the semester, it’s important to incorporate key academic deadlines into your work schedule. A rough weekly structure with set goals is usually enough. I also think it’s crucial to include buffer times because unexpected things can always come up. With discipline, time management, and good organization, you can juggle everything successfully.
