The digital transformation is advancing more and more. As a result, companies are networking globally, and the changing digital communication between employees, customers and partners means that ever greater volumes of data are being exchanged. This data should be optimally protected internally and externally. But while SMEs have made great strides in many areas of digitization, there is still a lot of catching up to do in this area. Sabotage, data theft, and espionage have caused German industry a total loss of EUR 43.4 billion in the past two years, according to a Bitkom study from fall 2018. The average damage amounted to more than three million Euros.

And the first fines in the three-digit million range due to cyber attacks are now a reality. GDPR, which applies throughout Europe, forces companies to take appropriate security precautions. One year after its introduction, the legislator never tires of constantly introducing new regulations.

“Data protection and data exchange are not only a challenge today, but a critical factor for success. Only those who take a holistic approach to digitization will be successful in the long term,” says Daniel Niesler, Managing Director of FTAPI Software GmbH. “We therefore offer decision-makers, IT managers and interested parties the opportunity at our Event Days to exchange views with experts on current developments and challenges and to discover new solutions and future opportunities”.

The series of events starts on September 4 in Munich and will then take place on September 11 in Stuttgart and on September 18 in Cologne. Interested parties can register here: https://www.xing.com/events/collections/ftapi-event-days-securing-digital-freedom-12556
